The Drifter: A Glorious Thriller, Mate. It doesn't happen often that the same game is recommended to me by three different people. After the last time, a 20% off discount at gog.com pushed me over the edge: it was finally time to get drifting. I knew little going in except that it was a gritty pixelated adventure game with a cool looking trailer. |

Lucy Dreaming: Look There, a Three-Headed Dream!. When Thimbleweed Park was announced, it made no attempts to hide its intention to hitchhike on the nostalgic feelings adventure gamers have for a pixelated crosshair and the SCUMM verbs. As soon as you start playing Lucy Dreaming, that same familiar feeling will be reawakened. See what I did there, as Lucy has to dream and awaken and dream some more in order to work through puzzle chains? Took it too far? Okay then how about this: Lucy Dreaming is as classic as a classic adventure game can get: pixels check crosshair check; SCUMM-esque action picks check; an unnecessary large amount of references to older games double check. Is this a dream worth having (again) though? |

Wizardry 8: the Review. Sirtech's last and probably last role-playing game, Wizardy 8, was in development for a whopping 4 years. During this time, the developer lost not only common US publishers, but also massive development changes. Because of all these difficulties in bringing a game like this to the market, you may find that a game like Wizardy needs a little bit of attention. |
