| | | A Dr. Nigel Thomas has tried to show a logical self-contradiction in Chalmers' "Zombie World" or zombiphile argument, in a way that would convince Chalmers (given perfect rationality, of course). The argument concerns the claim that we can conceive of a near-duplicate of our world sharing all of its physical laws and containing apparent duplicates of us, who copy everything we say or do for the same physical reasons that lead us to do it, but who lack consciousness.
