| | | | | ?? "The things that make us different, in the right context are superpowers. You know, Saul Steinberg said the thing that we respond to in any work of art is the struggle of the artist against his or her limitations." Austin Kleon, interview on The Echoes Podcast, 10 June 2025. This makes me feel like there's an awful lot of wrong context lying about. I guess we all need to find a place where we can thrive, or else make it ourselves. | |

| | | | | Richard Dansky The best metaphor I've seen for AI is that it's our generation's asbestos. If you think about it, asbestos was this technological marvel that promised to solve a huge problem and that got crammed in everywhere. And yeah, it was good at keeping things from catching on fire, but it also came with an extremely elevated chance of painful, lingering death, and removing it from the system has taken untold years and billions of dollars. | |

| | | | | I sat next to a young honeymooning couple from Guatemala on my flight home to Tassie tonight. They booked their entire Australia holiday based on ChatGPT planning their itinerary. I added some local understanding to a few of the routes in Tassie they wanted, but it was a pretty good trip. Hamilton Island, Sydney, Tasmania, covering all their wants in the holiday. If you haven't figured out how AI is going to change your business or employment like it's changing travel then you're behind the eight ball. | |
