| | | | | I'm going to try and post smaller, more frequent articles. This whole "two months between massive walls of text and screenshots" thing is not working out. So, the alpha I promised is *still* inbound. I'm working as fast as I can! And I think it's paying off. For a while I was very worried about performance. In my last post I talked about how I optimized the renderer, but there were still issues with the physics engine. I was putting each cube into the physics space as a separate entity, which was making it absolutely crawl, even on my eight core i7. | |

| | | | | > It's not designed to help us. It's designed to keep us hooked. - Tristan Harris Six months ago, I realized I had a creeping smartphone problem. At work, I constantly checked for breaking news. I looked up random facts at dinner (did you know corn is actually a grass?). I checked my email while playing with my daughter. Like many people, I was addicted to my smartphone. | |

| | | | | So...all previous posts have really been about me making some games in my spare time. There have been no real updates in a very long time, and thats because basically: the game failed massively. I'd have hoped there would be enough sales to pay for the web hosting for leaderboards, replays, and the SSL certificate. Over a year I couldn't even pay for the SSL certificate! So yeah, it really didn't work. So instead, i'm simply going to use this to post things that interest me, current projects, etc. It's quite a change, as I'm not going to start with software, which is what I've been doing for a very long time. | |
