| | | | | DebConf 25 happened between 14th July and 19th July and I was there. It was my first DebConf (the big one, I was at a Mini DebConf in Hamburg a couple of years ago) and it was interesting. DebConf 25 happened at a Campus University at the outskirts of Brest and I was rather reluctant to go at first (EuroPython 25 was happening at the same time in Prague), but I decided to use the chance of DebConf happening in Europe, reachable by train from Vienna. | |

| | | | | As a reader of Planet Debian I see a bunch of updates at the start of each month about what people are up to in terms of their Free Software activities. I'm not generally active enough in the Free Software world to justify a monthly report, and this year in particular I've had a bunch of other life stuff going on, but I figured it might be interesting to produce a list of stuff I did over the course of 2019. I'm pleased to note it's longer than I expected. | |

| | | So, it was time for a bit of change for the blog. I have been using an older version of Jekyll for some time and upgrading for me has always been a pain. I picked to move away from Jekyll to something new, this is where Hugo comes into play. Hugo Hugo is another static site generator like Jekyll but written in Go, it boasts itself as the fastest tool of its kind but it wasn't the speed that drew me to it. | ||
