The worst kept secret in Silicon Valley right now is that Jony Ive is helping Sam Altman build new gadgets. On the surface that may not seem like that much of a big deal. After all, Jony left Apple six years ago. But his career is inextricably linked to and was fundamentally shaped by Steve Jobs and Apple. I do not say that to diminish him in any way, it is simply the truth that he would not be "Sir Jony Ive" without the iMac, the iPod, the iPhone, the iPad, and the Apple Watch. |
