| | | | | Yesterday's tip over made for a painful night. The ugly cut on my ankle and the road rash looked nasty but they were well under control by nightfall. Mrs. Rootchopper acquired numerous sizes of bandaids and, without seeing the cuts, acquired the exact sizes I needed. As for the arm, it looks fine but hurts... | |

| | | After Girona, we drove to [Viehla](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vielha_e_Mijaran) in the Aran valley area, just before the border with France in the Northeast of Spain. It's a beautiful mountain town, surrounded by mountains. We did our normal touristy wandering, and also fit in two long hikes. One, starting from in town, was [a lot more elevation than we thought we were signing up for](https://www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/afternoon-hike-9713faa-386?u=i&sh=1jxywh), but gave us some nice views of the valley and a few of the nearby towns. The second was very intentional, heading up to walk [the circle of 7 lakes](https://www.alltrails.com/trail/spain/lleida/ruta-de-los-7-lagos-de-colomers). It's about a 4 mile hike with lots of ups and downs, but we managed to add 6 miles to that by starting at a parking lot lower down the mountain. | ||
