Callbacks in Cplex I used LazyConstraintCallback to implement a Branch and Cut algorithm with CPLEX, but when I implemented and run this algorithm, it was very slow if I compare it with its version that doesn't use callbacks in Cplex. The reason is because ControlCallback(LazyConstraintCallback is a ControlCallback) switch Cplex to sequential mode by default and turn off dynamic search. I wrote this post, because I didn't find this information in Cplex's documentation, I only found it in this technical forum.

As was pointed out to us stable kernel maintainers last week, the overflow of the .y release number was going to happen soon, and our proposed solution for it (use 16 bits instead of 8), turns out to be breaking a userspace-visable api. As we can't really break this, I did a release of the 4.4.256 and 4.9.256 releases today that contain nothing but a new version number. See the links for the full technical details if curious.

Hey everyone! Fedora 22 is on the cusp of being released and the Fedora Cloud Working Group has elected to organize a test day for May 7th in order to work out some bugs before shipping it off to the rest of the world. With a new release comes some new features and tools. We are working on Vagrant images as well as a testing tool called Tunir. Joe Brockmeier has a nice writeup about Vagrant and Kushal Das maintains some docs on Tunir.
