| | | | | I've launched a new feature on this site - which is basically a place for me to keep track of changes to our suburban garden. The plan is to have things like: A catalogue of all plants in our garden Micro updates as things change... hopefully for the best (hoping not to share the passinig of plants which is sometimes inevitable) Links off to other sources to learn more about some of the plants we have Just basically an online place to share our garden with people! | |

| | | | | Over 15 years ago in 2002, I bought the domain nisch.org and commenced developing a PHP-based blog with photos and widgety things. Looking back, it was during Uni times and we had a lot of birthday parties and general social activity (not a lot of studying was going on), which was published on my website. Features were added over time including a photo gallery, comments, "yell" box, user accounts and the like. Passwords were stored as unsalted MD5'd in the MySQL database (oh the horror!). | |

| | | | | I was wondering the other day, what is with all of these geo-based restrictions on content from such streaming sites as Hulu or Netflix? I mean, I'm sitting here in Australia and I can't possible watch TV from overseas. Well, not without going about it in a possibly illegal manner. So I'm not saying go do that. Because you totally shouldn't. What I AM saying is what about the little old radio? You know, that thing that's been around for more than 100 years and yet still remains to be rather popular. Try saying that about other technologies! Fax? Ha! | |

| | | Well it's been a little while since I've posted here, mainly because I have so many projects on the go at once. More to be revealed later, of course. But for this blog I would like to talk about a not so new project of mine, namely Hawkesbury History, People & Places or more easily just "www.hawkesbury.org". What is it? Hawkesbury People and Places is an ongoing project which collects & locates places, buildings, organisations and people of the Hawkesbury Region. | ||
