| | | | Even though 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' will not hit theaters until June 22nd, it seems that the next film in the franchise has already been given a release date, set to come out in almost exactly 3 years, on June 21st, 2021. Fortunately, though, it is all part of a plan, as apparently the director of the first 'Jurassic World,' Colin Trevorrow, always saw this cycle of films as a trilogy, and therefore always knew there was going to be a third installment after 'Fallen Kingdom.' While speaking on the story for all three movies in an interview back in 2017, Trevorrow (who is now an executive producer on the series) stated: "I remember telling Steven even while we were making the first movie, 'This is the beginning. Here is the middle. And here's the end of the end. This is where we want to go. I feel like that kind of design is crucial to a franchise like this if you really want to bring people along with you and make sure they stay interested..."At the end of this movie, it's not a cliffhanger, but it's designed for people to want to know what's going to happen next, whereas [...] | |
